With Purasolve Brake Cleaner you can breathe easy, it is 100% free of dangerous Chlorinated or Halogenated Solvents & does not contain any suspected carcinogens. The n-Hexane free formulation also protects you from long term nerve damage. Purasolve Brake Cleaner has a low flammability flash point & is pressurised with inert CO2 gas instead of butane or other toxic, flammable propellants.

Our Brake Cleaner is still classified as a “hazardous product” & is one of only 3 or 4 such products in our Purasolve range. We include them because they are needed - for particularly arduous (but still necessary) applications that require the use of “a solvent” in the absence of there being another totally clean/safe alternative.

As it is a Solvent it still needs to be handled correctly & to be respected, as if misused there could (as opposed to would) be danger to life or to the environment.

HOWEVER - there too is a huge difference in terms of the actual hazard & danger of handling Bio (Plant based) chemicals vs. typical (Petroleum based) chemicals & solvents.

Although Some Prestige car service agents use PS Brake Cleaner many car mechanics tend to be impatient with its slow-dry properties (rag wiping is an effective option) then our Purasolve ProBrake QE (quick evaporant) is the option that should be considered. Our QE version is Quick Evaporating - more in line with what users expect of brake cleaners, however it has less than 1% n-hexane & no perchloroethylene, acetone or other typical nasties present.
